Question for those of you w/ a 215/45/17 tire

preferably 2008-2011 cars but i guess any year will do. am i the only one whose tires are flush w/ the fenders? my fronts are flush w/ the fenders whereas my rears are tucked in a bit. was driving home and went over some train tracks and heard what sounded like the tires rubbing a bit on the fender. i dont know what that sounds like but assumed thats what it was. i'm not lowered either.... but yeah are anyone else's flush with the fender?

Im running Kumho Ecsta's on my 2004 and the 215/45 tire is a lot fatter than the Toyos I had before. My tires sit flush with the fenders all the way around and I rub over big bumps. But Im lowered an inch and a half. Some tires are a little meatier than others. As far as you rubbing and not being lowered...its still possible to rub with a thicker tire.

So SES models came w/ eap's painted dk argent w/ 215-45x17's standard. Not sure what yr they came out, seems like I remember '09 or so. The stock height have a desent gap, between the tires & fenders. Are you sure your car's not lowered. What wheels & offset do you have?

im positive it's not lowered. i went from 205/50/16s to 215/45/17s. wheels are Sparco Pistas in 17x7 w/ a 42mm offset, according to Tirerack.

The offset pushed the tires closer to the fenders by close to 1/2 inch. Reduced offset moves the tires outward (stock offset is 52.5 mm, EAP's are 49mm).
