Yeah, I've had some problems with posting today as well. It feels like it isn't and I end up hitting submit again and well.

This is a popular alternative. I myself prefer the "S" shaped attachment. With the tube, you will get cooler air.

Look up the "HRW mod" for some help on feeding the snorkle with cooler air too.

Yeah, I've seen HRW's unique approach. I might do something like that next week, when I have a nice 4 day weekend and plenty of time.

I'm running my stock airbox with the resonator removed and nothing in-place yet -- no problems at all.

Still not sure if I'm going to do the HRW mod or the JDO mod. The "JDO mod" is a slightly more polished take on the "Iceman Clone" mod (something I've dubbed the "JDO Mod" after the screen name used by the guy who "invented" it). There's no instructions or text, but the pictures pretty much speak for themselves (the guy said he used 2" ABS drain pipe for the mod):

JDO Mod pictures

I haven't been able to locate any ABS pipe sections at Home Depot or Lowes -- they have lots of white PVC stuff, but I think the black ABS pipe would look a lot more "stock."

So, its all in and nicely installed. Now one thing I did notice. A lot of people were saying just reuse the stock airbox top, since it lines up. This is true. But I noticed that the SVT box top is a bit taller, so I don't know what kind of difference it will make, but I did use the SVT's top.

Did you retain your stock MAF Hawkeye, or did you convert over to the SVT MAF?
