I didn't see it in the topic but I could have missed it. Anyone have a guide for the speedometer lights?

I just put some lights in my car very similar to Kal-EL428 but a little different.

I got my lights from walmart, 2 12" strips for $18. came with about 10' of wire. I used that to cut and resplice the sections together so i could relocate the lights around the back of the trunk.

Here is a little how to build incase you like it

Here is how mine look

I put 2 down low tucked up under the lip of the back hatch.

Put 2 on my sub cabinet one down and one facing out the back incase i need a little light just outside the back

Then i ran one way over on the other side up under the other trunk lid panel

I wired everything up to the single trunk light stock OEM light that comes with the ZX3. I just made a little fake bulb plug so it plugs right in to the stock light socket draws WAY less then the factory 5w bulb and puts out a TON more light.

Here is the fake plug thing i made using the cardboard packaging

Best part its all reversable incase you want to remove it, change the color, sell the car you just keep the stock bulb and plug it back in where it goes stock.

It's available on many vehicles including the F150, and Lincolns.

Easy to find at Junk yards and ebay. Universal mount and a simple 2 wire hook up.

I've got one for all the hunters out there

if you do it right you can even get a free meal out of it. haha

cut a spent 12 gauge shell an inch or so and use it as a cover for the lighter/power socket if you don't have a cover already. it fits pretty much perfect and looks a lot better than the lighter or a hole in your dash. and for bonus points you can paint it easily

Will a couple 9mm work or how about a few 380's . That's all I have around the house.

you will probably have to wrap something around them to get one to fit. i dont really know.. i dont have any 9mm or 380's

i also forgot to add to my previous post, you could also use the 12 gauge as a base for a cover, you could paint it black and glue a ford emblem on it

Brilliant idea! I am not much of a hunter, but guns were my first love and remain this day to be my mistress. I don't think I have any empty shells, but what a great reason to go shoot some clays!

I don't think the 9mm or. 380 casings will work.
