OK so we are pretty much confirming that these gauges and the SVT gauges are not just plug and play, and the needles will not read the correct mph or rpms... (We still don't know if either will work correctly if you just unhook the wiring from the back of your focus cluster and plug the new cluster in though, lol)

I just want to be sure, disciplerocks, did you replace the whole gauge cluster, or just replace the gauge face (part with the needles and motors)? I'm guessing you kept this piece and just replaced the rest with the cougar parts:

I only used the gauge face from the Cougar. I just plugged it into the Focus back. The cougar one had over 130000 miles on it. I don't want that in my car.

And just so everyone knows, I didn't go with blue bulbs. I couldn't see the red needles. So what I did is cut pieces of the blue electrical tape I used for the odometer and just stuck it on the back side of the numbers before I put the needles back on. Just make sure you don't overlap it.

oh and i;'ll be the first to confirm, as long as your re-calibrate teh system properly, using the test mode. everything is fine using the rpm and speedo out of an svt or a cougar.
my car still tops out at exactly 105mph. and still does 3,000 on the freeway in fifth at 70
as long as you properly recalibrate the system, not that hard actually, it even reads off mph in test mode, as well as a/f ratio's and stuff.

awesome! i see the "OEM" but modified look is catching on alittle more and more...

heres a picture of my gauge cluster... its the stock control board so thats my correct mileage, i mearly just swapped the overlay over from a cluster i bought on ebay... its a canadian cluster... so KPH is bigger and MPH is small and the fuel reads 1 1/2 and 0 rather than the american version that reads F and E

I thought about buying a cougar cluster off a canadian ebayer, but I would rather have mph

That looks pretty cool. I never thought about doing that kind of conversion.
