i would like to use the whole svt cluster.. and get rid of my zx3 cluster. i have a whole svt eap that i am trying to figure out all the parts i can transfer that would be best..mainly i already know im gonna transfer interior, brakes, side skirts, mirrors, and spoiler. but im wondering what i would have to do to transfer the gauge cluster into my zx3 without changing the wiring or if its even possible.

you'll need to wire up an inverter for the glow. but the main plug will bolt right in.

PM me and i can give you more info and i have an SVT gauge cluster i can sell you as well. i can basically walk you through it.

First you need to take yours out and figure out what plug type it has.

I know there is 2 plug types maybe 3. My car uses the gray plug type, if i get a cluster that is white it wont just bolt right up ill have to splice wires and im not interested in that.

When i had my cluster out my running lights came on so there is something in the plug and the cluster that completes a cirquit to the 2 position light switch.

Ive seen a wiring diagram for the wiring if you want to cut up your wiring and tap into the wires to run extra stuff. Or even wire in a cougar cluster which i think will bolt in but has a different plug with more display stuff.

I would love to have an oil temp and pressure gauge along with RPM and coolant. I think my car has the leads in the plug for it but they arnt being used.

Check out my How To here to get the Oil Pressure to display on the SVT gauges. If you have any questions about installing the SVT gauges in a Zetec then let me know.
