i need clarification on a point.
cai is such because it pulls in cold/external air rather then hot engine air. to do this its intake needs to be situated outside the engine bay. so the aem makes sense in its way.
but the volant is still inside the engine bay so how is this sucking in cold air? also what is the point of having the top open the way it is? i understand it for the fc hood but is that its only perpuse?

the Volant relies mainly on the snorkle, it just has alittle duct to pull in some engine air, the hole in the top also functions w/ the scoop they released recently

Yes, metal holds the heat more than plastic does.

lunarc- I have a focus sport intake and love it. My car definately pulls harder down the road and the noise is so sweet. I mean it's not a big power gain or anything but it's a lil something to tide you over until you get more mods. The heat shield that comes with it is also a nice touch. Plus it's a pretty good buy and a realllllly easy install. It took me and a friend around 30 minutes.

Do they make better intakes for the 60mm throttle body kit or can i also find ones that will give out the same performance as the intakes that fit the stock throttle body

This was probably answered earlier in the thread. Either that, or it's a dumb question to be asking. But which has more of a power gain, the CAI's or the Short Rams?

CAI, because it sucks in colder air.
