Mkay, newbie question then. I live in Houston... and when it rains it goes nowhere but to make the streets flood. Soooo I would think the long metal pipe is out of the question, out of your personal opinions, which should I buy? I want my car to sound nice, not having to worry about warranty or smog issues due to having no warranty and Houston has yet to come to the strict rules Cali has now lol. Ok any help will be greatly appreciated, the intake was going to be my first mod on my car, as well as lowering it 2" or so.

there is no definate best, basically you should use the info as a guide, and get the intake that fits your needs and budget, the infos there

so with the SVT snorkel i really shouldn't have to upgrade, except maybe a k&N for my air box right??

you wont need to upgrade the snorkel much, but the tube between the TB and the box could use some upgrading im sure

i dont know why the would reccomend that. the focus has an intake mani in back and temps in the back of the engine bay get hot with air coming straight off your exhaust mani and block. they might not be familiar with the desigins.

my vote as everyone here knows goes to the volant hehe.

as far a stock box, start posting WTB ads and im sure something will come up

dart sounds like your in the market for a volant or ice man if the long tube is out of the question....

03svt cruis through the svt performance forum, i know a lot of those guys have had a few dif intakes on. if i remember right the aem long tube was their favorite. www.myfordperformance.com has a weathershield avail if u do go that route.
