Just got and installed my MAC short ram. Good fit and build quality. If you want to save money buy one of these not that ebay junk. Good customer service also. I wanted the red kit but they were out of stock so allowed me to buy the silver kit and replace the blue hoses with red for me to match the car. Sounds much more sporty already, can't wait for my stealth exhaust and flex to arrive now..

Meh hard to say, I don't track mpg. I would doubt anyone would notice a power increase on a 130hp stock focus with intake. Maybe seems more responsive and sounds sporty now.

My flex and cat back just landed, very excited to get that on.

Canadian buyers beware of shipping over border with UPS they will hose you on hidden brokerage fees ship usps only!

There seems to be a misconception floating around about the AEM CAI and water ingestion. First off, unless you COMPLETELY submerge the filter in water, you are not going to have an issue. To submerge the filter, you have to go through a puddle that is at least 1.5ft deep, and if you do that, you deserve to have your engine ruined. It's not like the filter sits 2" off of the road (unless you are completely slammed). If that was the case you would be ripping the filter off every time you went over a speedbump. Think about it; the stock snorkle sucks in water (albeit not alot) and does not harm the engine. Like most things, a little common sense goes a long ways. I have been running CAI's on every car that I've owned since 2000 and never had a water ingestion issue. Stay away from the lake driving and you will be fine.

If water ingestion has got you really nervous, try this.
Cut a piece of the CAI tubing in 2 places just past the MAF sensor. get 2 rubber couplers and an extra cone filter. When it is going to rain or snow, undo the rubber coupler closest to the MAF sensor, swivel the cut piece of tube out of the way, and attach the extra filter to the pipe going to the tb. Thus creating a SRI. It's the homemade version of a bypass valve that is guaranteed to work 100% of the time.

I realize this thread's been dead for a while, but I just joined a couple weeks ago.
I was looking around here at CAI's and I thought I saw one where the intake bolted on directly behind the grill, so as to avoid water ingestion issues. Then I went to find it later after I had read up on them, and BAM I couldn't find it anymore . Can anyone tell me where to find that? Or am I just thinking of the SVT snorkel?

Just get the SVT AIrbox and snorkel, K/N drop-in filter and re-use your zx3 airtube and MAF

Not sure but maybe it was the Volant scoop. I believe it fit in behind the front upper grill.
Pipercross is of similar design, intake tube runs down behind front lower grill and the filter section sits up in the engine bay eliminating the chance of hydrolock.
