Quick question. I have a steeda Throttle Body for my SVT, would the AEM CAI fit properly with that? Or whats the deal with that kinda thing. Also I have the SRI and i had to cut some tubing to fit into the SRI. Is that going to be a problem with the AEM ?

Edit **

Sorry forgot to ask, i would like to switch back and forth come winter time and summer how hard is it? Any extra parts exc?

hmm, I've searched for the volant CAI but it only shows it as being for a 2.0 litre engine?
I'm gonna be getting a 2000 ZX3 1.6 so should it fit?

okay, here are a couple replies.

Tazz,
Everything should hook up right for you, but should you run into problems, here's my suggestion. I had problems with CAI fitment. You can buy some tubing at any autoparts place around. You remember, the big giant black piping on the back of mom's washer? yea that stuff.. itz usually braced with wiring throughout to make is stronger but also very flexible. I've used it on my CAI and it works great, u should try it. Any problems just ask. Hoped i helped!!
LUKE,
Most places you shop for CAI's will tell what they fit and don't, just make sure whichever CAI your using, will fit your engine size... you should be fine, any questions, let me know!

AEM makes a good intake, one of the most popular here is the Volant.

Thanks for using a thread that is already here instead of making a new one!

If money is not an option then go with the Viper pipercross intake.

I just bought a 2006 ST and I want to add an intake system. I want to get a CAI, where the intake is relocated to some point lower in the engine bay, The problem is, I live in mid-Michigan, and I'm worried about snow getting packed around the intake. Is this a real poblem is snowy states. Is there a way to get cold air into the airbox without locating the intake down so low. Thanks for any help.
