Now what is the advantage to the design/performance of the Volant induction system that makes it so popular among focus owners? And what would you suggest is the best choice as far as CAI's go?

Thanks Lil_RedZX3!

I have a 04 SVT and I want to go with CAI. I want to go with the AEM CAI but I'm kinda scared of the water problem. Volant won't work for the SVT. What's the 2nd best choice I should go with instead of the AEM CAI for SVT?

crap... from what I'm reading, Ice-Man seems to be the choice of stealth.. I just brought the FC CAI for my PZEV... If the Ice-Man gives me a better chance at passing smog with the same power gains... perhaps I should cancel my order?

iRebound... check out the Focus Central... I believe it should work with your SVT... if not, check out the SVT forums... very knowledgable folks there.

FYI, another great CAI is the Focus Sport one, which replaces the stock airbox with a special cone filter and a heat shield...uses stock hosing.

Just for fun, I took off my Bomz intake and installed my BPT shorty with a Ractive filter. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I guess I never really knew how badly I was getting hosed by the BOMZ. Then, for good measure, I installed the Iceman upper and a MAC filter, but this time with a Pro-M 70mm MAF. This will be the setup I'm keeping. So my Bomz sucked ass, the BPT with a Ractive filter was better, but the Iceman with a MAC and Pro-M was the ass kicker. I can fiddle with the SCT and correct the rougher than stock idle, but in no way will I put the Bomz back on.
