AC issue FIXED!

Wassup focus fanatics, So I recently replaced my battery due to car was having a hard time cranking. Wanted to check alternator also so did a alternator load test. Dureing load test put Heater on high along with putting headlight in high beam, turned on radio (sound system system installed with amps), etc to see if alternator was still charging battery and voltage on battery looked good. Well soon after noticed that AC was not turning on and only heater and also vent controls was not working. Had a machanic friend come over and he immediatly said that my AC compressor went bad. Knowing that having a AC compressor replace cost a a lot of $. Decided to do some research on the web. From what I could find, the "blend door" or "blend door actuator" might of went bad. So today decided to check the blend door and blend door actuator which isnt a easy task cause read that the dash needs to come out. But before taking the task of taking apart dash decided to check HVAC controls. Found that connectors behind HVAC controls (temperature control and vent control) was somewhat disconnected. Reinstalled connecters and walla AC works and Vent control works. Sorry for the long post but just wanted to share my findings with guys with similar AC issue. All this headache about my AC not working turned out to be an easy fix. Im a very happy camper.

Nothing like the feeling of saving yourself money, eh?

Nice detective work.

Thanks, Imagine if I did dish out the money to have my ac compressor replaced and AC still wasnt working not knowing that the connectors behind the HVAC controls was disconnected! I wouldnt been very happy. Thanks to forums like this along with the internet I was able to do an easy fix. Also feels great fixing things on your own rather than having to pay someone to fix it.
