Can't seem to figure this one out!
Ok guys lets see, I need you to help me figure out the deal with my car so I know what my next move mod wise is.
Alright last year I ran 60ft... 2.5348 330ft... 7.0951 ET @ 594 ft 10.1550 1/8 ET 10.8391 1/8 MPH 65.78 1000 ft. ET 14.0839 1000 ft. MPH 74.87 1/4 ET 16.8662 1/4 MPH 80.74 with these mods Volant CAI, HKS Highpower cat-back, SCT Xcal 1, Full SVT suspension, C-F-M two piece u/d pulley set, ported and polished stock throttle body, polly engine mounts This year I ran 60ft... 2.4919 330ft... 7.0972 ET @ 594 ft 10.1849 1/8 ET 10.8710 1/8 MPH 65.58 1000 ft. ET 14.1099 1000 ft. MPH 75.25 1/4 ET 16.8701 1/4 MPH 81.49 With all the same mods except I added a long tube race header, and 2.5in flex so what gives I figured the header would at least take a 10th of a second of my time. I ran it three times after my header install and all of them were very similar runs, 16.8 at 81mph so what gives whats holding me back I can't break 81mph and I can't break 16.8's I mean I thought with the header I would at least hit 16.7. My butt dyno sucks because it definently felt faster I dunno a little help would be appreciated thanks.

what were the weather conditions for each run? the cooler the outside air the more power you will make, i doubt this is it, but its an idea

^^ It's an auto theres no driver error really. Did you power break your car? I'm not sure why you didn't gain time. Did you have the same amount of fuel in your car? I honestly thought you would have ran faster than that.

well you have to figure in Temp, humidity, actual track condition, bad fuel, unclean fuel/air filter, engine temp, vehicle weight, wind, etc. and w/ a difference of a year, you could be talking about the vehicles overall condition too!! w/o any real heavy mods, you're talking about a very small increase in power!! if you were to install cams, then I would say there is a problem, bur ur talking maybe 10 whp difference!!!

I have 12 slips with this car, and more with my past cars been doing this for awhile so experience is something I have, I don't drive it in the winter so overall mileage from last year is not that much, the car is well maintained. How would it be driver error I hit a faster 60' than last year and all I really have to do is keep the pedal down past that. I know it was gonna be a small increase but damn I would have been happy with a 10th of a second. and yes I am power braking it to a little over 2grand and then coming of the brake when its go time. And vehicle weight was the same, they have a scale and I weighed in that the same last year as this. I only fill up at one gas station and I always run on a 1/4 tank out at the track. weather was almost exactally the same as last year also.
