Look what we started!!

Well, we joked about doing it with a certain SPI, ad it never came to pass. Well, all you need is one willing guy ( my friend Danny) with his new $400 econobox 1.9 escort, and a few bolt-ons. Its even better that its a 4 door!

Danny needed a cheap car as a daily driver, so he can keep his 5.0, but still afford gas. There were a few bits around that we had been scrounging for the SPI project, so we got started the other night. THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING.

And the BEST of all, so far?

We are accepting donations at the next garage day of parts ( project screaming eagle?), and various ricey stickers.

I think I have a pair of stick on hood scoops coming tomorrow for it as well. This should be fun.

We are trying to figure out what to do for the wheels that won't cost too much.

I figure, spinner caps, or , if I could find them. Autozone or Pep boys used to have "rimulators" a few years ago. You put this over sized hubcap on a 14" rim and tire, and it covered half the tire with a "fake" rim and made it look like low profile 17's... We really need a set of those. The exhaust was some work, but it fits well, and actually sounds good.

Target near me had some spinning hubs on clearance the other day, I'll check tomorrow when I'm off and see if they still got 'em
