I want a loud intake, that can handle puddles...with a horsepower gain.

Suggestions?

So far the only thing i'm sure about is the FSWerks engine cover haha.
MAYBE their Stealth exhaust...i hate the way these things sound stock. Sounds like an overvolted vibrator.

Which is it, how much, any HP/mpg gains, and do you not have to worry about puddles?

steeda <- click

its listed as a cold air intake, but its actually a short ram. it sits in the engine bay and has a heat shield. it doesnt go behind the fog light like some of the other ones. running over a puddle with the other cold air intakes isnt really a problem, its when your car is going swimming in water that is up to the body is when youre in trouble

SO ur telling me I got a short ram intake? Not a cai?Doesnt that mean a cai would have bigger HP gains?I just installed my steeda today and it does add a nice burble to the exhaust

yeah.. haha. a short ram intake stays in the engine bay and has a heat shield so it doesnt suck in hot air. a cold air intake doesnt have a heat shield, it as a long tube that is bent and goes down behind the fog light. when its down there the filter wont intake as much hot air as opposed to being in the engine bay. however being closer to the ground you better your chances of sucking in water.

I kept seeing people talk about the Steeda SRI...but all i saw was the cold air on their website. After a bit of googling, i wasn't able to find any dyno results of base/stock 08-09 vs. Steeda SRI...i want to see if its worth the $40 over the fswerks.

Thanks for the link.

i bought my steeda intake used for $150. i bought it local off someone on craigslist. the only problem with the short ram is if you are in a lot of stop and go traffic on a hot day you might get bogged down a little bit, but i dont really dont have to worry about that as opposed to the occasionally flood. around here ill go over puddles and i wont realize its way deep until i'm already half way through it.
