You can boost a stock engine you don't need a built engine. FSWerks has been making turbo kits for years without any issues.
It really comes down to what are you plans or goals with the car?

Hey guys, long time no see. I now got a different car, it's a 1996 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 V6 4.0 and I have ran into a big problem with it. It's over heating pretty fast and I'm pretty sure it is either a cracked head or bad head gasket. Took it to O'Reilly's Auto Parts and did a Radiator Pressure Test and it's loosing pressure. Now since I have just bought the car from a used lot I'm going to see if I can get them to fix it. Now I'm thinking of worse case, I'll have to replace it and was wondering if any one would help out, would need a place to do it and it would need to be done as fast as possible. Was just wondering if anyone could help me out?

Never mind, the place i bought it from is fixing it up right now. Dispite what Ken and I told them, they just now found out it may be the cyclider head or head gasket after all the work they did.

You can safely run 12 psi, on stock. Other factors include the turbo size. Talk to Randy or Tom they can hook you up.
