God damn it, I was driving home tonight and slammed into a pothole on a main city road at 40mph. I didnt see it until I had already hit it. Blew out my tire, punched a hole right through the sidewall. What really irks me is that I JUST put new tires on not even 1000 miles ago. So I got to change my tire in the dark pulled off to the side. Reported it and the dispatcher sent someone to check it out, but they say most likely I wont get reimbursed by the city. What a load of CRAP!!!!!! UGH On top of everything else this last week Im so PISSED off. All I can hope is that my rim isnt bent. Cost of a new tire shipped is $133 from tirerack, wont get here until later in the week. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

ugh... potholes are going to be everywhere now because of the weather. Ive been swerving around a couple of them. Wonder why they wont pay for the damages when road crews should be on top of that... Probably because of the weather though.

Dennis I tried getting money from seattle for bending my expensive devino sport rim and couldn't. I now have 3 rims with me scrambling the internet trying to find just ONE for sale

Good news is the rim isnt damaged. Also, it looks like Continental has a road hazard warranty for the first 2/32" wear on the tires. Ive only had them on my car for 1000 miles, so Im sure Im still in that warranty period. We'll see what they say when I call tomorrow. I hope they cover it... At least I still had my old tires, so I was able to switch one on for the time being. At least its not the spare. Still, how annoying.
Im not keeping my fingers crossed to get stuff paid for, but who knows maybe they'll do something. They have yet to fix that dang pothole though......
