Alternator issue time and time again

Ok here it goes from the top. I had my car for almost 2 years and the alternator fouled up. I replaced it at a local shop. two weeks later that new alternator went bad. They replaced it for free. Conveniently right after the warranty expired it went bad again. I then took it to a shop that I trusted. I had even installed a volt meter on the A pillar becuase i didn't want to get stranded again. Six months after I paid full price for the second time it went bad again and was replaced and i had to pay labor. two months after that brings me to this point. My alternator now works for a bit. stops charging. If i put on the a/c it'll quit. and it doesn't work until the car sits for at least 2 hours. The last time they changed the main power cable to the unit. what can it possibly be that is making this happen. Has anyone else had this same problem.

The ECU controles your Alt has any of them thought to check the Alt on a test stand to see if it was bad or if you have other issues

A bad Batt will kill an alt and because the alt gets replaced each time they think thats all the issues , I have see the ECU cause many Alt issues has any one scanned all the Alt functions to see if it is a command issue

no they haven't. it'll be the 3rd time this specific shop sees this problem. I'm sure they're going to look deeper this time I go back. I'm taking it tomorrow morning. Thanks for the info. I'll have them check all that out. Thanks
