Exclamation (!) Meaning of exclamation point dash light....plz help!

Car over heated, that is the light that came on...lost my manual...lol!

The manual defines that light as the transaxle malfunction warning light. But it's not always that specific.

It generally means the ECU is telling you "Hey, something is SERIOUSLY wrong, but I can't diagnose exactly what." Take it or tow it to your closest service center pronto.

There was a thread on this a while back. Some people have had that light show up and simply go away, while others have had it come on mere seconds before their engine threw a rod, their transmission dropped out the bottom of their car, their radiator hoses exploded, etc. and what-have-you. If you love her, get her checked out.

He limped the "lil brat" home, it seems that the light does indeed have to do with a "cooling flaw" of sorts....
I will have my buddy hook it up to diagnostics later this afternoon, and I will let ya'all know what becomes of it.
