slicks
ok i have done a ton of searching on this subject and have found a few different things but nothing really saying 100% what will fit.
so far it looks like 22x8x15.. but i have read that they dont do good enough for over 300whp.. i am going to be making over 400 when i buy them. i have head that 24.5x8.5x15 will work. but also that they should be 24.5x8.5x13's and the brake calipers need to be shaved on. can any one tell me what i should be for sure? thanks

Not sure why the 24.5 x 8.5 won't fit in the 15s. I wouldn't think the rim diameter had much to do with it

By using in a smaller rim you have less spinning weight. I drive around on my stock 18in rims and race with 16in rims.

im not worried about the weight of the wheel 13-17 it wont matter with 400whp. what i want is fitment of the biggest slick possible.

I would pm Dtec04 and Focus_3XZ since I believe both of them use the 24.5x8.5x15 slicks. Coincidently, both of them have snapped their axles with these slicks

im pretty sure the purpose of using 13's would be sidewall flex. but im pretty sure i will got with the 24.5x8.5x15 if they will fit.

they will fit? have you tried them or talked to some one who has? do you know what the turning would be like?
it wouldnt be as big of a deal but the local trap has a 180* turn after the end and dont want to tear my finders or tires up turning around. i dont care if it reduces it some as long as it isnt ridiculous, lol. just let me know what you find out. i am going to be finishing my custom turbo kit first. but i will be buying them soon.. hopefully, lol. dont care to much about axles as long as they dont break something else when they break, lol.

I have run 25 /9/15 drag slicks this weekend and struggled like hell with them.
I dropped my 6pot brakes to run my 15s and they seem to spin up loads. I ran then at 6psi and still had wheel spin issues? Any suggestions for what I am doing wrong. I was not even dropping the hammer. First hooked up ok but second and third spin up I only did 3 passes and went home. My radials seemed better. I was running 245 40 18 BF Goodrich 2 years ago and did a better sixty foot time.... I probs are not getting enough heat into them?
