8.7 in 1/8 w/Drag radials, what else is everyone doing??

Hey fellas,

Went to the track on fiday night test n tune at the immokale race track, but it is only 1/8 of a mile, so you can expect to see outlaw running 6 sec, boosted s2k's n vettes doing 7 sec runs w/slicks.....me, I ran a 8.7 sec w/drag radials tires, 230/60 r25.
I am now looking for 24in slicks to fit to my spare rims and my times should be flat 8's to 7's!!!

Here is the slip info:

REACTION: 1.00------could get better with practice..
60 ft: 2.1229----still spinning tires even with a good burnout
330 ft: 5.8309----
1/8 : 8.7949----how can i convert that to 1/4 times?

What is everyone else doing at the 1/8?? I know I need to get to a quarter mile cuz the eight is a reaction game, you have more time n space to develop the full potential of the car in a 1/4. What do you guys think? what are you guys doing?

What was your boost level? I would expect mid to low 8's with 400whp..........even on drag radials. On slicks, you should be in the high 7's.

i did a 8.8 in the 1/8 with only 203whp and bfg drag radials. and run your tire pressure down to 10psi or 15psi ik my bfg love those psi. i had a 2.0 60ft and i didnt have a lsd at the time i have 272whp and 270tq now and i will be going to the track this wednesday

we need to both go to bradenton dragstrip one sunday. i live in clearwater Fl.

I was round 17-18lbs, i wasnt running the full 21lbs of boost, i kept spinning nn temps got too high.
I dropped em to 10lbs and still no good.....ok, ok this is the first time i have taken her to the track since i gotta er back, so i know i need to practice. but i was watching srt's doing 7.6 secs but these guys are always at the track.
Last time i drove her was over a year ago with 240hp and i did flat 9's. So i pretty much know i can do better after time...I hope lol

yeah, of course. Once I get my slicks we sill hit it up for sure!!
Im waiting for a couple of other cars to be ready, we'll make a nice outta of it.
Some of my friends wanna go too, srt4's, 460hp s2k, 600hp s2k. The more we go the better!!
Give me like two weekends im we will go battle the two roush builds!!! lol

With some more practice and some slicks, you should be able to get in the 7's.

Hell ya lets go. im finishing up a 590whp ls1 240sx that should be done by then. its one of my really good friends. But with some slicks you will be good. i need to by slicks because i spin first and half of second but i dont have the money at this time.

I ran a 8.65 in the 1/8 at 5000 ft above sea level with my powerworks kit at a peak of 12 lbs of boost. It ended up being a 13.405 @ 104.
