Oil pressure gauge install

Hey guys, I just bought an oil pressure guage, it is an electric one, I have no idea where to make the connections on my 2.3 Duratec. I have the Power, Ground figured out, but the cable that is supposed to go for the oil pressure is confusing me a bit...Anyone have suggestions to where it is supposed to go....????

Here man this is for a Zetec but from what I hear hooking it up is the same> http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=247659

There should be on the wiring harness that came with it, red for consistent 12v, yellow for switched 12v, black is ground, and green is the sender wire that goes to the sender unit that you hook to the block. On the sender unit it should say like g for ground and gw for where the sender wire hooks up.

First is first what brand name gauge do you got here?

so your saying that i need more parts, bought thiss oil pressure gauge from a fellow fanatics, just got the gauge, no adapters were included, said he had a shop install it, this led me to believe it was a simple connection job on the duratecs. I just need some clarification

Do you have a pic of the gauge? That would help a lot, there are some gauges that only have one wire coming off the sender unit, and only two wire's coming off the actual gauge.

Okay where is the sender unit? If you only got a gauge and nothing else but the wire's comming out the back of it then yes you have been shorted the sender unit.

From what I can see there are four wires on the back orange, red, black, and green.

Red for consistent 12v
green for the sender wire to the sender unit you may not have
Black for the ground
orange is for the switched 12v

you see the part I have with the yellow sticker on it?

That is the sender unit. You need that to hook up to the block like this with wire's.

This is what tell gauges how much oil pressure is coming out, and from the sender it goes through the wires it goes into the cabin sending the information into your gauge.
