Question SVT front strut bar in the way of intake???

so i am buying an aem cold air intake, right now my front strut bar is laying against the rubber intake hose.

my question is if someone has a front strut bar and an aem intake, just wanted to make sure i wouldnt have to do any customization.

heres a couple of pics to show what im talking about...

thanks guys

blake

^^ Mine rubs the Brake cap too.... You shouldnt have a problem with the AEm System.. Its not even close to the strut bar!

This is why all engine componets should be made out of cheap rubber tubeing. That way when they don't fit they can just mush up against each other. Ford engineers think of everything.

the Biggest issue is that people actually THINK the front strut tower bar actually does something other than looks pretty.

im not sure what brand that strut bar is, but it isnt supposed to even come close to the intake like that. i have PLENTY of room with AEM's CAI and even more room with the stock stuff. also, my bar doesnt touch anything but the towers. i do however have a foam pad between the bar and the airbox only so the 2 dont rub when the engine torques. you will NOT be able to run a CAI with that bar installed. what brand is it?

^^john is right, the strut towers are welded to the firewall, the braces do nothing.

here's mine, not AEM but same location. Steeda bar is closer to the brake fluid so the brake fluid sensor harness goes over the bar.

Everyone that is telling you that it won't hit has different strut braces than you do. It's clear by the pictures people posted that the FS strut bar sits higher and bends earlier than yours.

Honestly with your FC strut bar, your AEM CAI will probably rub/not fit on account of the strut bar. Sell/trade it with someone that has a FS bar!
