I have 17"s with a 205/40 tire. I also have the Eibach Sportlines with newly aquired dampers right before Focusfest. You will zero tire rub with the 205/40 but I would not recommend that size. I am actually contemplating going up to a 205/45 or 215/45 since I have a +45 offset.

I run 205/45/17 on sportlines which is a 2in drop.
