I am a bit confused, do you want new alpine type x door speakers or two type x subs?

Where is the 10ga wire, from the amp to the sub or is that the amp power wire?

It sounds like you want to run two subs with two amps and 4ga power wire but the crossover part at the end throws me off. You only need crossovers on separate door speakers/tweeters. Clear some of that up for me and I will try to help you out bro. Part numbers would help.

Ooo older rockford subs, man those bring back some memories. Me likes!

About the x-overs, mine are mounted on the door but many on here have suggested hollowing out a space in the large yellow foam block under the door panel to hold them. Wish I would have thought of that.

IMO using two amps for two subs is more of a hassel than its worth. I know its tempting to get another since you already have one, I have done the same exact thing. You have to use distribution blocks for the power and ground, or make two grounds, plus a relay to turn on the amps because head unit remote outs usually cannot turn on more than 1 amp, then mount both. I would sell the amp and get one mono with 600 to 800 watts @ 2ohm and wire accordingly. If your set on using two amps I would go 4ga from batt into an 8ga fused distro block with 8ga to the amps. 0ga garden hose is really overkill unless you want a couple thousand watts someday.

Have you ever looked into putting together you own component set? Parts express.com has morel soft dome tweeters on sale right now. Those with a pair of nice mids and some inexpensive part out crossovers from ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/jl-audio-xr650-c...item3a5ce871fb, you would have a nicer set of components for cheaper.

I didn't check the specs on that crossover, its just an example. Not trying to change your plans just throwing out some ideas. After building so many systems this is just some info I wish someone would have told me in the beginning. Look for my old post with my system specs for some component ideas. Good luck and post pics when you get it done!
