Finally came home on leave, got a chance to work on the car, and UGGGGHHH!!!!!

Ok so heres it how it started, the wife calls me up a month ago, and says my car wont start, automatically I knew, battery was gone, I had seen it coming before I deployed, but the car wasn't going to be driven while I was gone, only started every now and then by the wife, so I really wasn't worried about it. Well I was hurt and got sent home early, but I wasn't able to come home home. OK, now to the problems. I replaced the battery, and was able to get all of my accessories and gauges, lights, bells and whistles to come on, but no turn over. But there were no numbers on the odometer, just dashes. Then while messing around seeing what all worked, I noticed, that certain things turned on, and killed the power of other things. Like for instance, my wipers, wouldnt turn off, my gauges wouldnt turn off even with the key out of the ignition. Then I pulled down on the wiper switch, and I heard the supercharger crank. So I pushed the clutch in, did the same thing, and turned the key over, and it started, in a fit of happiness, my foot came off the clutch, and it stalled out. I never got it to crank again. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH MY POSSESSED CAR!!!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!! First born child will awarded to the person that can help me fix my car, I am not kidding!!! Ok maybe I am, but seriously, I need help like NOW!!! Thank you in advance!!!

Sorry to hear about the car, bro, but I just wanted to stop in and say welcome home! Good luck on finding your problem and getting it fixed!

One big thing to check seeing as you were playing with your battery is that the ground for the ECU should be either attached directly to the battery (my preferred method) or to a grounding point right between the fender and the battery. I have done a lot of work to my car and I am not sure which is the 'stock' location but if you tie it to your battery it will be great. It is a single conductor I think the colour is Brown/red but I am not 100% sure. I had this happen to me about a year ago when I was cleaning the terminals on my battery. Somehow this one little wire got folded up and I missed connecting it and I had the dashes on my odometer.
