my svt just popped the same problem i on the other dont have the patience or the nerve to mess with that so i am going to the dealership to worked on and i shall die a lil inside for it

What is the IMRC exactly? What does it do?

Intake Manifold Runner Control.
^^^It's the motor that pulls the cable to switch the DSI (Dual Stage Intake) from long to short runners, or vice versa.
Long runners (low to mid rpm power).
Short runners (high rpm power).

ahhh i got ya. so it just controls the DSI. Would it affect gas mileage? cause my mileage has went to shit. and i just got an oil change.

It will set a code if anything is wrong with the IMRC.
Your gas mileage drop is from something else.
And...that should be discussed in a separate thread.

Repair IMRC module

Does anyone have a spare defective IMRC module.
I would like to take it apart and see if I can repair the.
I will share my experience with the group.

Dude, just read this the other day and ive had this code on forever and have been hearing the box grinding and ford wants 380.00 for a new one so i used your pics and comments and took mine apart....... the spring is broken so it is just slidin around in there and the little metal cam wont catch on the plastic keeper anymore because the plastic lip is ground down.... Im thinking about tapping a screw in the plastic so the cam will catch again and maybe say screw the spring. Any ideas??
