I never noticed the breaks interfering w/ my starts when the trac con is off.
W/ the track control off, I have spinned the tires (in first gear) to the point they are bouncing which is not too good for a good hook up.
-but I never really paid attention. After checking the video - I noticed the 20 mph/30 km/h start (I did stop and then started from a stand still though??).
-I'll try later on & let you know!

What do you do to get your good times?

Well I tried and the wheels spinned from a dead start, but now that I was really paying attention - it seemed that there is more spin after you get going... it could be the breaks attempting to control the spin...

I tested this out in the snow. From a dead stop with the traction control "off" it truly is off. I could spin the wheels all day long on the ice with it off. Even had a friend jump in and do it while I looked at the spinning wheels and there was no braking whatsoever.

You do know that when when you press the button and the light is solid it means it is off correct?

Do you press and hold the trac. control button until the trac control indicator light stays lit? - This desingages the trac. cont. (to what degree is the argument).

I also drove my car in snow situations and now that it was mentioned a lot of times I had to desingage the trac cont because it was actually making it hard to drive in deep snow (too much clutch all the time).
As soon as I turned it off it would spin (a lot) but at least it didn't bog down loosing my momentum = getting suck!

so you hold down the traction button? and then push it down afterward to turn it on if you need it?

To deactivate it you push the button and hold it till the yellow light comes on and stays on. This means it is off. Then to turn it back on just push the button again, the light will turn off and traction control will be back on again.
