i went to the track over the summer on an 85 degree day muggy as hell and ran 16.220 1/4 @ 87 mph....i have an 03 svt eap with an aem cai with 43,000 on the engine. me reaction time was pretty bad though.....0.431.....it was my first time at the track. i raced another svt and he had a short ram, short shifter, removed his back seat and spare tire, and i beat him....he ran a 16.240....i know its not much, but its still a win! i know that once i go back in the spring, i can run an easy hi 15....cant wait!!!

look here now silverzxIII!! i got the best 9.8sec 1/8th several months ago with 2.2-2.4 60ft times and just a few weeks ago got the nearly 2.0 60ft times but didnt beat my 1/8th time. let me explain. the 2000 year model and i believe the 01 as well had faulty fuel pumps. mine is a 2000 with that faulty fuel pump which hasnt been fixed by the dealer yet which makes the car fall on its face on the top end. i get really good launches but at about 5000rpm its done. hopefully ill be getting that done this week. and by the way you arent getting mid to low 9 second 1/8th times in a zx3 focus with just bolt ons unless its a duratec zx3. mid to low 10s more like it.

Well folks my best time to date was a 15.7 @ 88MPH with a 2.3 60 ft. That run was also before I dyno tuned the cam gears. A week after getting the cam gears dyno tuned I went to the FFW I teched in and lined up for the first run of the day. I stripped the diff on the 2nd to 3rd shift...well thats when it stripped I'm pretty sure cause thats where it started spraying tranny fluid on the track lol. I have yet to make it back since the n. Well we did have a little track meet at an 1/8th mi track but those times were worse then the first time I went to the track. The track was in horrible shape traction wise. Some of the other houston guys can vouch for me. I think it was due to the track being concrete instead of asphalt. Mighty Mouse can verify my times he saw me run a 15.8. Funny thing is too I was talking to Mouse how I was keeping up with his car lol. He said "I had to let off clutch was slipping" I said BS.....boy did I feel like a chump when he whipped out his laptop and showed me his run (he data logged it lol) sure enough he had to let off lol. He still ran a mid to low 15 lol. I'm sure I could get close to 15.5 well thats what I'm shooting for. But now I have tranny and the fuel pump decides to take a hike on me. Go figure. I'll have a new time up for ya'll after FFW well I'll go make some practice runs before I go there. I'm sure I can hit at least a 15.6. I basiclly have very few bolt-ons mainly I have all the ones that "make" power. Oh and I'm untunes still rocking the factory tune lol. My dyno is in the zetec dyno thread http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=101161 I'm making very good numbers for what I have. Also its on a mustang dyno they read lower than a dynojet which everybody else in the thread had theres dynoed on. So keep that in mind and you will see I have a pretty zetec

I'm just now to 3 years since I bought my car. Stock clutch was gone in like 20k miles and close to 400 drag launches. New clutch is now in and waiting for track season to start up again.

i love the weee little local 1/8th mile strips because they are open year round no matter what the weather is unless its pouring rain or snowing. just got a new fuel pump and filter in about an hour ago and will be going to a strip later this week to see what it will do.
