haha the upper grill is staying chrome for now, I snagged a rear hatch trim piece and some chrome door handles to match, i think it fits pretty well with the polished lip on the wheels. only way that would all change is if i ever do a SAP front (i wish!)

and zx505focus: just take your time when masking, theres no easy line to follow on some parts so eyeball it.

thanks everyone

Wow, I think it looks awesome!!! Great idea!!! I've already been considering painting my (aftermarket) grills black - now I know I'll be painting those sections of the bumper at the same time. I too keep thinking I'll leave my main grill surround chrome, to match my polished lip on my rims. Thanks for posting your handiwork, good job on the mod. I was just thinking the other day how white cars can be dressed up/accented really nicely with black trim in the right places. Your car exemplifies the idea. And I like the side stripes too. Overall - nice car man! Is that a sun/moon/whatever roof on your car?? Man, I wish I had one of those...

Sorry to comment on an old thread. But that looks pretty tough. I've been wanting to do the same thing. But didn't know how it would look. Now I know it looks pretty sweet.
