Headliner removal for hail damage

So i had my car look at today and it looks like most of the cost to fix my car is because they have to take out the headliner to get to the dings on the roof, so....... shouldn't i just remove it for them and save a ton of cash?

also, is it hard to take it out? is there a write up on this or has anybody done this and want to tell me how i should do it. it can't be that hard. i think.

Yeah, there is a write up on it. I'd say the toughest part is just getting the "o-shit-handles" out of there. They're a pain, but there's also a write up for that too. You'll also encounter the hose to the rear window sprayer and any electrical is glued to it, so you'll have to be careful when pulling the stuff off the headliner. It's real strong glue so you'll pull up a little of the headliner material along with it, but if you take you're time, not too much will come up.

Here's the headliner:

And the handles:

Hope that at least points you in the right direction
