1st Ever DIY Duratec CF Cover

First I want to thank Bluefront for the idea of a DIY duratec cover, knowing how big the FSWerks cover would be and how many of us (including me) are planning to get one. So then we stepped outside the box. Hope ya all like it, please feel free to comment

How I made my mounting bracket, kinda a direct clone of FSwerks set-up. Works well, and very adjustable.

Then the cover, this was taken out of the trash at work. (from a digital x-ray unit)

Then the CF money shot

Again please comment, with any additional ideas.

i think the problem is that it doesn't look finished. Just needs some more thought and tweaking

actually after looking at it again it really needs a bend in it, which you cannot accomplish with CF like that (as far as i know, never really worked with it)

I honestly feel that it is too big....or you should have brought it forward more to cover the vacuum actuators on the intake mani

Good start

If you have Photoshop/Painshop Pro/Gimp you should try to draft up what you want your engine cover to look like and cover in the engine bay. I want to do something similar but out of fiberglass... unless I can borrow some carbon fiber/resin from the engineering department when I get back to school
