Got my first Focus today, 2004 ZX3

ame home from Danvers Ford, Danvers Taxachusetts today with a new 2004 ZX3, here's my specs:

Infra-Red, Charcoal cloth int.
2.3 liter
5 speed manual (of course)
16" wheels with 205/50 series Pirelli's (Only H rated, that will change with my first tire replacement)
ABS
Side Impact airbags
6006 6 disc cd/mp3, not the 9006 audiphile unfortunatly
Power Moonroof
Power windows, doors, and mirrors

I think I have all the options available, short of the auto tranny (puke) and the premier audio system.

Took an extra week to get it; they could only find one with my three requirements in my state; I NEEDED the 5 speed(which turned out to be the biggest problem, stupid people with their automatic fetishes), the performace wheel package, and ABS. So finally after searching New England for one, they found this one in Conneti[:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)]*. Picked it up at noon today, and put about 80 miles on it today.

Did my first mod already. My salesman gave me a set of factory orig. headlight bulb replacements, as well as a set of "?PIMA?" replacement HID bulbs. High beams give me about 150 yards of good vision on the dark back country roads around here. The Focus ZX3 has such a good look at night all lit up; I have the integrated foglamps too.

So I hope to be a regular poster on this site; I've already learned alot from my fellow Focus Fanatics. More stories to follow, like my selection and research faze, how I went from a 1987 IROC Z-28 5.0 liter 5 speed to a 2.3 4 banger, but from what I have read so far I think I made the best choice in the Focus's. Is the 2.3 liter engine the best choice, and give me a good order for doing mods. No body kit advice please, and no laundry rack wings.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the applause. It really is the best car I could have gotten for the price, foreign or domestic. And I would NEVER rive or own a foreign car.

On the rims question, I have the same 5 spokers that you painted Foci_Foshi, but I am leaving them natural. I think they look hot as is. Good job on a nice cheap custom job though.

Yah, I won't be doing ANY exterior mods. DOn't believe in them. BUt that's a personal choice and I try, TRY not to harp on others for it. My philsophy is "If it doesn't make it go faster and handle better it doesn't belong."

THe cold air intake and the intake intake itself and a nice brandname stainless mandral bent exhaust, cat back will be my first mods. Then moving onto a complete bushing replacement kit, front and rear sway bars and the under the hood torsion bar. That will be all for a while, but that should keep me busy this summer. What a car folks, that's all Ic an say, for the money, what a damn sweet car. Congrats to everyone.

Coming from driving my gas gussling 1987 IROC to this has been, well, nothing short of amazing.
