you can but in the case of it breaking you would usually get a new one if you took it in to get done/ What you do is sand the back of the bumper about 4 inches away to the crack with some ehh 80, dont get to crazy. Then get a spare peice of plastic and sand it down to 80. Then get a two part poly epoxy and glue the bumper together using the plastic peice on the back as a backing to join the peices together. Then once it cures you want to make the cracked part a V with a dremel, then use a poly filler to fill in the V, then sand it smooth. Then get the bumper repainted and good.

Its not as bad as it sounds. I mean think of it this way. You can find a peice of plastic for nothing. The epoxy is like 10-15$. Add another 20ish for cheap filler. Then money to have it painted. So thats like 35 bucks plus, well i charge 250ish to paint a bumper at my shop. So under 300. Now you could buy a new one for what about 300 and then pay about 250 to paint so your looking at 550. Why not attempt the fix yourself. If anything do all of the work up to the filler then take it to a body shop to get finnished...itll still be cheaper.
