i got mine done at my little local tire shop, they fix tires for 5$, they mount and balance for only 10$ a wheel, and cut my lunch box off for only 20 bucks, i love living in san antonio, always a lot of competition with all the little shops

I'll probably give this a shot this coming weekend. Lucky for me, a family member owns a large shop so I won't have to pay much of anything other than some supplies. I'm wondering if I should just go ahead and run 2.5" pipe from the cat while I'm at it and create my own catback system.

might as well give it a shot if you're getting the chance large shop, and all you need is supplies, if I had access to a lift half a stuff I need done would have been done by now

first off, thanks brad for the great write up.

just did this to my car tonight. i highly recommend it to anyone who gets tired of not hearing their car :). its just the right level of volume, not so much that it will get annoying.

I find it funny that this was actually made a sticky. It would be like making a sticky on "how to cut your springs". I mean its cool, do what yer gonna do. Good job on the write up itself.

Why is it funny? Unlike cutting your springs, this mod is entirely safe and doesn't ruin the car....

I had mine removed on my '08. They cut the pipe just rear of where it goes over the rear axle, bent a 2" OD aluminized steel pipe to fit, and cut off and welded on the original SS tip. They said that if I ever wanted it back on, all they would have to do is weld it back on or, weld a piece of 2" ID pipe onto the cut end, slip it on, and clamp it. $50.
