Walker p/n 53825 is basically the same as the 53610 but the 53825 comes with the polished tip already welded on. Just bought my 2005 ST used less than a year ago. Went to check what I needed to do this and realized mine must have been replaced already. No lunchbox. Not sure if it's OE system converted or aftermarket like magna flow or something. It looks like its getting pretty rusty so I'm thinking OE vs a stainless steel aftermarket.

Haha gotta bring this thread back up just to say this is something I'm going to get done for sure. I've always had a shop cut out the resonators on cars/trucks but I didn't want to dump any money into this one and just keep it stock since it's just a daily driver to me and not for performance but this is a really cool mod.

Will it make my 2.0 sound deep similar to a 2.3? Also, do you guys notice any droning at highways speeds w/ this done?

Nice, yeah I could hear it popping (btw I almost misspelled that by swapping out the p with an extra o, you can figure out the rest) when they started it up. If you listen to it from behind you can tell it's deeper and just a little louder in the car but not too much. I'm happy w/ it b/c the shop I went to only charged me $40 - it was def worth it
