The only different part they use is the very rear of the exhaust. This is what the factory sport tuned exhaust looks like instead of having a resonator.

And this is what it sounds like.

For the sound of a zx5 duratec 2005 without lunch-box,just click on the link below. Here's my piping job done today at Mr. Muffler !

walker pipe from the muffler to the end with a stainless exhaust tip weld to it.

Very deep sound with backfires and on the highway, it's not anoying.

Sorry for the *average* sound quality, I filmed it with my cell phone.

When you cut off the resonator *lunch-box* and replace it will a real Walker pipe, you'll get the same *Sport Tuned Exhaust*

Walker P/N : WAL-53610
And a sweet Stainless exhaust tip.

Here my sound :

That was the name of the focus exhaust on the 09-10 coup SES manual. They were coming without the resonator. Only a pipe from the mufler to the rear end.

Quote from : http://www.edmunds.com/ford/focus/2009/ ''The Focus coupe is available in the SE and SES trim levels. They are largely similar to their sedan counterparts, though you'll find a sport exhaust and 17-inch wheels on the SES coupe.''

I dont understand why they even put this on the car. The car already has 2 cats and a 14" muffler its so restricted already IMO this last part is just overkill.

I eventually put a header on mine with a 36" resonator downt he center of the car then a larger inlet and outlet 14" muffler.

Its pretty loud now but not any louder then any other tunner car.

Now a Harley? shoot mine isnt even near as loud as a Harley.

why would it die?

There is alot of 2005-2007 models out there still stock and they are starting to get pretty affordable.

Plus the 2008-2011 has this lunchbox on it also i believe.
