Ok so I also cut off that metal piece that's inside of the rubber gromet thing towards the rear. SO I used a flex pipe and 3 clamps. 2 through the gromet as a temp fix; and it's doing fairly well. One on the upper portion where the pipe and the original part meet. Only thing is, you can see a part of a rusted clamp if you are even slightly below bumper level. Any ways to fix this problem? I'm thinking about just taking it to an exhaust shop and be done with it lol. Monies though :(

Yes; I take it the manuals didn't have one? I know the manuals made like 3 more horsepower, but figured it had to do with power loss from the A/T, not any difference in exhaust or intake system.

I dont see how this could increase power but you never know.

Yeah the 3hp came from the removal of the resonator on 5spd cars. Ford refers to it as the "sport tuned exhaust".

I use Brasso to clean mine up about every 4-7 weeks. I just put some turtle wax on it to see if it would help make it easier to clean.
