Just did this, same exact thing except i used this exhaust tape rated at 2000 degrees,

i started my car and revved it to about 4000, and started getting back pressure pops.

holy crap!

I had my resonator removed for $40 plus tax and now it sounds like a focus st even though its a 2005 focus zx4 ses first gen model
