Yes, correct and 'ALL' of the HOW TO THREADS have been always located in the single HOW TO ARCHIVE LINK, which is in my signature below for years now. The only time they are stickied in each forum is to initially flag them for being 'added' to the how to archive, that's it...... each of the forums also now has a 'single sticky thread' which in there, all of them (pertaining to the focus) have a link to the how to archive.

As far as mileage & power, I have both even with the "cel" on...30/32MPG & this is a guesstimate but I'd say 0 to 60 in about 7 to 10 seconds with an automatic.

he xcal is the flasher used for our cars. the flasher is how we update our cars' tunes. it plugs in to the data port-the obd-II

to use the xcal you need somehting else right? i heard the brad was looking for a chip or somethign from SCT. i don;t know if this is true for all foci or jsut the '08...

NO. there are no chips for the focus!
as i said above, the flasher is how you get the tune into the car. like, this thread is about a MECHANICAL fix...the tune can block the o2 sensor electronically. the tune is software programming....the flasher is the hardware to do it.

I tried this fix putting my header on yesterday and I am pulling an DTC P0420 catalyst below effiecieny threshold. Did some searching and found this same fix in other forums saying this should take care of it.
The only thing I think might have been done wrong is my choice of drill bit the size had been worn off on it so I don't know exactly what it is but putting a 1/2" wrnech over it there was just a little gap but not much at all and it's the biggest bit I have so next weekend I'll go buy a actual 1/2" bit to see if it takes care of the DTC. But with as close as the bit is to the 1/2" wrench shouldn't it still work?
