Can someone give me a hand on the foglight mod?

ok guys i am TRYING to do the foglight mod today on my 02 zx3 but i am having a little trouble. i have a few inches of 12 gauge wire and what i think are the right connectors? but its not working. can someone explain this a little more to me, and is this the right connectors?

I used a short piece of house wiring and smashed the ends flat with a hammer. That was two years ago and it works fine.

do i have to strip the ends of the wire or anything cuz its still not working?

if u didnt strip the plastic off the wires to show the actual wire inside then it wont work.
