^^ im sure he doesnt mean really rust out like a metal bucket sitting on the side of a road when a salt truck flys by during the winter time...

but any metal that is not coated will develope some type of oxidization, and im sure once it rains a couple of times and that gooy residue that is on the exhaust from the parts store, runs off from the rain that it'll start to get surface rust just like everyone in the world's rotors overnight...

my only question is this about this exhaust setup...

once the metal's protectant oils wash away... i wonder when going over bumps if the exhaust will start to make a noise?

Not bad. Sounds good, but you will enjoy a real exhaust better.

I dont know why you spend so much the stuff at my autoparts store was 10 bucks. In addition i modified the instructions a tiny bit, I never removed the exhaust tip from the bracket, instead cut off the lunchbox on that side about an inch or two from it. That way i had no need for all of the extra hardware you see by his exhaust tip. IMO just a small thing to improve on a already great guide.

i kept the lunchbox in it's original condition so i can sell of the full exhaust for a better price. I don't want to sell it in 5 different pieces. I spent a little bit more money cause i ran out of blades and i needed a hack saw. But the piping was $11, the small pipe was $5, and the clamps were $2 each. The tip is from the SAP.

Eitherway, i didn't mind spending 30 bucks cause that was my limit. I went to 10 shops and they all quoted me around 70 bucks to weld a pipe in it's place. But then i was quoted $100 for a install of a full exhaust system.

So i think i did pretty good if you compare the two. I understand what you mean though, i could've saved SOME money but i didn't want anymore cuts to the lunchbox for reselling purposes.
