comparing wideband a/f numbers

hey all
i installed my aem uego last thursday. install was pretty straigh forward. i have the f2 header and used the last bung to install the bosch wideband sensor.
i have the k&n fipk2, sct3 with fs tune, f2 header, and trubendz 2.5 with hfc for mods...
at idle and normal driving my gauge jumps between 14.0 and 15.6
at wot my gauge dips down to anywhere between 10.5 and 12
do those numbers sound right?

also my gauge is constantly jumping around, never on the same number for more than half a second

thanks for the input!!!

Yeah mine does about the same thing. Different car setup though. But from what I've seen most cars are like that. Its the computer trying to compensate for every little change.

normal. it'll bounce around a bit, but should never vary more than 2 points. 10.5 is pretty rich, I'm assuming you're only seeing this number for the first moment after mashing the gas, and then seeing the AFR go up to around 12?

you should NEVER see 10.5 at any time on NA engine , you should be

NA Engine
idle and cruise 14 to 16
WOT no less then 12.6 no more then 13

The AF gauge is basicly worthless for anything other then WOT so I would worry much what it is doing at idle or cruise you cant hurt your engine from AF at idle or cruise in most cases

Okay I have one question. What is WOT? I've never figured that out an normally just kinda dismiss it.

Wasn't it you Tom, who swears by the AF gauge? I got mine and I see the same numbers 11's-12's at WOT. I don't understand why I got one now. You said any one who has significant mods should have a AF gauge. I got mine because you said we should get one. I hardly ever hit WOT and now you tell me that its worthless unless you hit WOT....Unfortunate for me I guess.
