How-To: VHT Niteshades Tails

i found doing the ford emblems that the 1000grit leaves some hazing that i cant quite get rid of with the scratch-x... i think ill pick up some even higher grit for wetsanding the tails.

finished my front ford badge and it has a bit of an orange peel to it, how would i avoid this when doing the tails

i recently did my tails and am pissed. my reverse light on left side shines red the one on the right shines white how do i fix this so i can get the right to match the left

sounds to me like you have the wrong bulbs in, thats the only thing i can think of that would make that happen

You connected the wrong wires to the wrong bulbs. Go back in there and swap the connection from the brake light and the reverse light. You wouldn't have put a red bulb in your reverse light did you?

im nite shading the 3rd brake light on my saleen wing right now.

doing my tails right now, coming out really nice =D. on the 4th coat of niteshade, wet sanding 1000grit between every coat.

edit- finished them with amazing results... ill have pics on friday when i get my car back from the auto body shop =D.

mine came out good
i love em

im goin to sand em a little and add one more coat of clear
so i dont have that edge on the reverse light

ps. for the sedan owners
u can see a red line inbetween the light and the trunk
so i think im goin to paint the red insert black as well

and also at night lights look stock when lit
