Well we are taking our new baby on a little trip...to...wait for it.....Lubboch, Texas. I know you are asking, why the heck would anybody go there. Answer, we have loaded the Focus down with my Stepson's belongings and are delivering them to him in Lubboch. The wife and I have loaded up the CD player and you all better watch out....we will be flying low. LOL I hope I can hook up with some good "front doors" on the way. Maybe I will be able to give a progress report when we get to the next wireless connection.....

I am in Houston now....nothing like 3 days behind the wheel to get to know your new ride. My wife likes it too. She had to use the cruise control to keep from going too fast! Gave it a good bath at a full service car wash and it looks good as new.

Anybody know where we can get a short throw shifter in Houston? That is the one thing my wife and I agree on that we need.

I don't think you'll find an SVT short throw shifter (STS) in Houston. This isn't a piece that is stocked by many vendors. Your best bet is to order one from CFM. You have two choices for the SVTF...
Ford Racing STS

And the CFM adjustable STS

CFM is a Focus Fanatics sponsor and a great vendor.

The STS from CFM is due Friday. Tonight I removed the counterweight to see what that would do. I also attempted to adjust the shifter cable, but I am not quite clear on the "orange" clip and how to remove it. I tried, but I didn't want to force anything. Any suggestions or links to photos that I might use?
Thanks,
Dan

Whats your view on the counterweight? do you like it being off?
