Fuel economy : near the best.
Handling : best of the pack.
Acceleration : near the best.
Braking : BAD
Noise : one of the quietest
Price : very affordable compared to most (they didn't take any rebates/incentives into consideration)
Styling : subjective

To slam the Focus, then select the most expensive car with the worst fuel economy (not to mention VW reliability) as the best in an article subtitled 'the quest for a 35mpg car' or something to that effect is stupid beyond belief.

Btw, I don't see the article you're talking about.
Arkaign, let it go man... This thread is about the 2009 Focus, not your precious 2008. We all know you like your car and that "Car and Driver" single handedly hunted you down and insulted your vehicle. That was kind of rude of them, but they did what they had to do. This forum has gone from wildly insulting your car, to now saying "hey, that's pretty cool," all because of an exceptionally simple touch-up for '09. You should take that as a victory. Please stop trying to shove the '08 down our throats. Your car is rockin' the same engine my '05 is. It's a weak little fella, but get's good mileage while still delivering tolerable performance. We already know your car is the "up to the speed limit" street-racing machine. Sure, your car might be lighter, but I've got a spare tire! Please take your '08 rant to one of the 37 other threads you've already taken over. I'm not insulting the '08 here, but please keep your comments to the '09, which is what this thread is all about.

Essentially what I'm saying is... please settle down. When you go on these crazy rants where you claim that the '08 is god to every single post, it just turns the herd against you.

^^ Yeah (to post #173). Ditto.

(And here I'd thought he'd renounced his account anyway, due to all the '08 bashing...)

He is a good member, articulate, and capable of putting together a good argument. I think he's got a sense of humor though, too.
