FocusSport is having a "reveal" event for the 2009 Focus on 5-17-08!

On Saturday, May 17th FocusSport will be hosting a "reveal" event for the new 2009 Focus. Ford Motor Company will be showcasing the new 2009 Focus here at FocusSport from 11am to 2pm. Focus brand manager, Sam De La Garza and other Ford PR staff will be at the event to talk with attendees and answer questions.

The 2009 Focus has undergone some exterior changes and that is the reason for this event. And this isn't like before where there was a minor tweek to the fog lights, this is more significant from what I have heard. As far as I know, no images of the revised exterior have been released or leaked.

Along with the new 2009 Focus, we'll also have our Grand Prize winning 2008 Street Tuner Challenge Focus and our award winning 2008 SEMA Focus on display.



We are also considering rides in some of our turbocharged Focuses for interested parties.

Food and drinks will be available and we hope to have some promotional give-a-ways, too. We look forward to seeing you here!

WHAT.....lol, is this a joke...how come no one else has responded to this thread. I really wish I could go, hell I wish I lived in the area where focussport is. You guys have done an amazing job with the 08 focus, they are starting to grow on me, all because of FS's work on them.

But seriously Ford is making exterior changes to it already? This doesnt seem like the Ford I know. I'm really interested in seeing what this 09 focus looks like.

No FF will be allowed at this event because we will flame the focus brand manager for being a fing cock tease and not bringing over the dam euro focus. Also i would also pose the question why SATURN has a better preformance package for there ion then FORD a large american motor company for there focus and gives AMERICA the watered down version of our own car.

Nice, I spoke to Sam recently and the changes only apply to the Focus Coupe and not the sedan. Supposedly one or two of the designers from the Mustang team had a hand in redesigning the Focus Coupe.

They will also be featuring this coupe at FocusFest this year for those who are interested in seeing it in person.

Yes it's true, the '09 Coupe will be redesigned to appeal more to the young crowd. At the moment Sam could not confirm if there are going to be any tweaks to the motor, but from our discussion it seems unlikely as fuel efficiency is still their first priority.
