accually the 4 cylinder turbo gets good fuel economy of you lay off the gas. that is why people prefer the turbo cars. if your just crusing the turgo really doesn't do much but rug it and you watch your rpms snap the tach.
so the turbo only really does anything underload, that is why you get turbo lag it is the exhaust pushing the turbo turbine and causing it to spool up. and it uses exhaust gasses to run it and really doesn't use alot of energy or fuel to run it.

kind of like how a 4 barrel carb works, at cruse and idle, start up etc you only use the front two barrels but when you open it up ( go past half throttle really) you open up the rear two barrels aswell allowing more air to enter the system which also allows for more fuel to be dumped in the system and there for you go faster.

This is a strange one for me, cause I still have my 2 other S/C svt's. So,I have now a SVT focus. Now what to buy. Good question. The wife is like, we need more room. So I'm thinking Explorer sport trac.

there isn't an option for me.

I just bought my next vehicle. It's a 2 cylinder 1700CC. That's 102 cubic inches to those who aren't into the metric system. HAHA

It's got 79 hp and runs 12's.

^^wow.... I totally wanted to do that, too, SquillyB...... to expensive and pointless to do for me now lol

well, like mentioned at first, I'll probably drive my focus till it dies, but after that, I'm thinking about a Cougar or Escape engine swap, so 2.5L/3.0L V6

edit: actually I just remembered a friend at school offered me his 351 Windsor.... told him thanks for the offer, but I've got no experience, probably not enough money for the rest of the conversion, and parents would totally not let me do it. lol
