Originally I said 8 cyl because I was looking to get a newer Mustang GT. But then that Focus ST was revealed, and now I'm thinking turbo'd 4cyl.

Ideally, a 4-cylinder diesel, which is what I voted for. But because US buyers hate diesel engines, I'm most likely going to get another 4-cylinder gas vehicle after this one. It's a shame since 4-cylinder gas engines are actually pretty pathetically bad on gas mileage for their displacement since they have to rev so high to get any useful power. It doesn't help that they usually get mated to sloppy automatic transmissions that hunt for gears every time you touch the throttle. I am hoping that automated dual-clutch designs like the Ford PowerShift might remedy the transmission issue somewhat, though.

I voted for 6cylinder petrol.Going old school back to a sierra 4x4 2.8 .Cheaper road tax, wont be to much of a difference in mileage from the ST170.would like to do it before this (UK)goverment prices me of the road LOL
