LOOK!! New member

Hi my name is Curtis Im from Tulsa, Ok. I currently driving a 91' Taurus SHO and have been a SHOnut for quite sometime now, Im always on SHOforum.com. But Im looking into getting a SVT Focus. There are a couple different ones Im looking at but Im wanting to know how reliable are these car? Do they have many problems? Are they maintenance whores? Anything I should look for in purchasing one?

Thanks for all ur help!

Welcome to FF!!

Actually the best place for you to post something like this is the General Car Chat forum, or the SVT Performance Forum.

As far as I know the only general problem with the SVT's is the thermostat housing- and this is for all Focis with the Zetec engine. The housing tends to crack, leaks, and needs to be replaced. The part is not expensive, and the job is not difficult.

Your biggest difficulty is going to be finding an SVT for a decent price with low miles and low abuse.

I've owned three SHO's a 93 atx, 95 mtx, and a 97 V8. My SVT has required nowhere near the amount of maintenance any of my SHO's required. I also happen to be selling my SVT if your interested. It says 8k in my signature but the price is down to 7k. The only reason I'm selling is because I recieved a company vehicle and never drive the SVT.

Fa SHO. My SVT is a couple notches from 100K and have only replaced the clutch and master cylinder. Then just your regular stuff.

He probably gave up.
