I have gotten a few ideas on a second meet. So far the Nascar Speedpark to ride the go-carts or autocross in Florence, SC. Both seem great to me. The Nascar Speedpark involves less travel, but more cost. The autocross involves more travel, but is free to watch. You guys make the call. How's everyone's schedule for May? Please post. Well for me, the cost would be about the same with gas costing what it does. I like the idea of the nascar speedpark because there are different types of races and we could race against each other there. There are also some places to eat near there **cough**Macado's**cough** that we could hang out afterwards.

BTW, I checked on the pricing for Victory Lane and the Nascar speedpark. The pricing is as follows:

Nascar Speedpark
1 Ticket: $3.00
5 Tix: $10.00
11 Tix: $20.00
All day pass: $30.00

They also do parties and group events, but that would probably be better when we get more people involved.

Victory Lane

Victory Lane is more expensive, but I think the Karting is better. The prices are as follows:
1 non-member race: $24.00

Membership: $15.00
1 race: $20.00
3 races: $50.00
4 races: $55.00
8 races: $100.00

They also do birthdays and group party packages which include multiple races, pizza & drinks, use of the big-screen wii/x-box 360 setup and use of the gameroom.

While this is rather expensive, I thought this could be something we might look at doing as an end-of-year kind of thing. We could even see about doing some kind of fund-raising to pay for this.

Either event is cool with me, the speedpark could be more of a family thing, and the autox more of an enthusiast thing. Either event is great for me....

x2 for the Victory being a huge summer thing, we could get a party together, say mid-summer, or end of year, yaddah yaddah....but I say the Victory karting is very well worth it from what i've heard...

Yeah, I had some co-workers that used to go to Victory Karting after work a lot and they said it was a blast. I think this was before they raised the prices and started the membership thing. There used to be a policy they had that if it was raining, the races would be half price, but I don't think they do that anymore.

I like the idea of the Nascar Speedpark. Macados would be super! They're one of my favorite places to eat. What dates will work for everyone? I may be out of town the first or second weekend in May. My schedule is mostly flexible. I can work around what the group needs. I can't wait.

Victory Lane Karting is awesome, karts are fast, not like the NASCAR speedpark where they are geared more for kids. If you want to go fast, Victory Lane is the way to go. I'd be interested either way.
